To check epf balance, you must have activated UAN number (universal account number). It is a common number for all employess registered under epf scheme.

Once you have a activated uan number, just follow this steps-

step-1) visit the epfo portal by clicking here-https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/For_Employees.php

Step 2) after visiting, click on member passbook option at the bottom side, it will ask you login password. now login with your unique uan number and password.

Step 3) after login, you can access to your epf account balance, statement and latest updates, credits etc.

2.By sending an SMS-

To check Epf balance online, you must have completed your kyc with uan number. Fiers integrate your uan number with aadhar or bank details. Then you can get epf balance online by sms.

You need to follow theses steps now-

1. Write a message as- EPFOHO UAN ENG
2. Send this message to- 7738299899

You can select your preferred language suitable to you. You just need add to first three letter of language like-

For eng, we sent- EPFOHO UAN ENG

For Marathi, we will be sending- EPFOHO UAN MAR

Umang app enables you to access to Pan india e-gov services from the central, state, local bodies and agencies of government.

• Aadhar
• Digilocker
• Gas booking
• Elec. Bill payment

To get the epf balance via umang app, you need to follow these steps-

Step-1) download the umang app by playstore or ios, as the case may be. login with your UAN NO. and password.

Now, select the option, EPFO, AND CLICK ON EMOLOYEE CENTRIC SERVICES.

After clicking, it will show your personal EPFO details.
